
Icelandic soprano, conductor and violinist Ragnheiður Ingunn Jóhannsdóttir studied music in Reykjavík, before studying at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, the Malko International Academy for Young Conductors in Copenhagen and the Glover-Edwards Conducting Programme at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She also holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Management from Bifröst University. She currently studies orchestral conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, graduating in 2026. Ragnheiður was named "The Brightest Hope in Icelandic Music" at the Icelandic Music Awards 2023 and nominated as Singer of the year and Performer of the year in 2025.
