Icelandic soprano, conductor and violinist Ragnheiður Ingunn Jóhannsdóttir studied music in Reykjavík, before studying at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and at the Malko International Academy for Young Conductors in Copenhagen. She also holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Management from Bifröst University. She will continue her orchestral conducting studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo this fall and participates in the Glover-Edwards Conducting Programme at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Ragnheiður was named "The Brightest Hope in Icelandic Music" at the Icelandic Music Awards 2023.
